BEWARE OF THE HAND OF HELL
By Bishop C. William Page
Beware of the hand of Hell. The hand of Hell seeks to reach into peaceful situations and create turmoil, divisiveness, mistrust, disloyalty, disobedience and enmity. The hand of Hell is usually exercised by someone outside of your family. That person or those persons seek to reach in and destroy the peace and tranquility that constitute the very essence of your wellbeing and happiness.
Particularly today, the Hand of Hell is very active. Foreign and unGodly ideas are being thrust unto the family. The result is turmoil, hatred, anger, disarray, unhappiness and oftentimes violence. Beware of the hand of Hell. It exercised itself in the Garden of Eden. The serpent had the audacity and unmitigated gall to discuss, not his own family, but Eve's family. This is a characteristic of the hand of Hell. It seeks to discuss your family. It wants to know what is happening in your family. It wants to know what rules your family follows. It wants to know what your leader has told you to do. Then the hand of Hell seeks to take control and "endear" itself to you by telling you that your leader has not been truthful to you. It seeks to "release" you from the guidelines your leader has laid out for you. It seeks to have you believe that your leader is "holding out" on you. It will tell you to do the very thing that your leader has told you to not do.
Now there is the realm of sin wherein guidelines previously given by Satan's forces may exist. One should not follow those guidelines. Rather, one should seek God's guidelines. God had given Adam and Eve His commandments. The serpent sought to supersede those commandments. Since those commandments were from God, Satan had no business messing with them. Today, as you seek to follow the leading of the Holy Bible, the hand of Hell may very well seek to reach into your situation. For example, when you seek to bear a child and a medical or social "professional" tells you to abort that baby, you would probably be wise to suspect that it is the hand of Hell reaching into your situation.
When your family is having problems you should sit down and work them out among yourselves. No one outside the family needs to know that you are having problems. However, our society is now so constructed that we are trained to "reach out" early for "professional" help. That help often leads to divorce, divisiveness and breakdown of the family. This is not to say that others cannot help us. However, this is to say that families should do all they can to first work out or work through their problems. Third parties should be brought in as a last resort, not as a first measure. Rarely, very rarely will you find a third party that cares as much about your family as do the members of your family. Therefore, the members of your family should first do all they can to solve the family's problems. I know this is not the contemporary social worker's party line. People are told to get help early. That is not God's way (and God's way is more important [as well as more perfect] than man's way).
No, sit together with your family members. Hold discussions. Hear each other out. Seek solutions that meet the needs of each of you. Pray together. Read the word of God. Develop and nurture faith in God. Be patient and let God help you work through and work out your problems. Do not allow the hand of Hell to split up your family. Do not allow some disinterested party to determine what is good and what is bad for your family. God established the family. He knows what is good and what is bad for your family. Read His word (the Holy Bible). In the Holy Bible you will find everything you need to keep your family functioning properly. All you have to do is believe God and follow His prescriptions. His ways are sure and you can be certain of success. However, if you follow the advice of the secular "professional" (who may or may not have any idea of what God has said) you may end up in utter failure and despair. Why, because what the "professional" thinks is right may be totally against what God has commanded. That is what happened in the Garden of Eden. What the hand of Hell said was right was totally wrong and it brought horrible consequences into Eve's family.
So, the choice is yours: You can decide to trust God or you can decide to risk following man. The hand of Hell often uses the persons of men and women. The hand of Hell cannot use God.
So, there you have it. It's your family and your life.
