    Palm Sunday 2018

    Faith, Obedience and Mission

(A Palm Sunday sermon by Pastor Clarence William Page)

12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. (John 12:12-13)

In the United States of America, today is March 25, 2018. It is Palm Sunday. Most Americans apparently care more about "Sports Sunday" than about Palm Sunday. More will watch sports on television than will go to church; and, many of those that go to church will rush home to watch sports on television.

Test Your Internet Activity or Be Duped

    Clarence William Page

Are you on the Internet? Are you "beaming" because you think people all over the world are reading what you are posting? Well, let's step back and take a closer look (you may want to "sober up").

Maybe people around the world are viewing what you are posting, and then, maybe not. The Internet can be deceitful. On the Internet, things are not always what ...

The Day the Newark, New Jersey Police Almost Shot Me

    Clarence William Page

It was a bright sun-shiny day in New Jersey. That morning I had driven my wife to her place of employment because I needed to use her car to go to the "pound" and get my car. (The night before, while I attended a meeting in Newark [NJ], my car had been impounded due to being over-parked.)

I went to work. At lunchtime I drove ...

Black Men and the Police: Living the Black Man's Experience

    By Pastor Clarence William Page

    September 24, 2016

Tonight I was driving on Wendover Avenue in High Point (NC). As we approached a street named Penny Road I noticed two police vehicles traveling in the same direction I was traveling. I was in the center lane. They were in the right lane. I was aware of their presence but knew there was ...

The Day God Almost Made A Mistake

    Pastor Clarence William Page

Almighty God is perfect. He is sovereign (He does whatever He wants to do). He is Omnipotent (all powerful). He is Omniscient (all knowing). He is immutable (unchanging). He is Omnipresent (He is everywhere). He is Truth (He cannot lie). He is Holy (He cannot sin). He is Living (He cannot die and stay dead).

Almighty God never makes a mistake. Almighty God cannot make a mistake. Almighty God has never made a mistake and He never will make a mistake.

If I did not know all of the above and know assuredly that they are all absolutely true, I would think that one day God made a mistake or almost made a mistake. After considering all that God made, I would conclude (if I did not know assuredly that all of the above is absolutely true) that Almighty God, in His desire for fellowship and pleasure, made or almost made a mistake.

When I looked at the height and beauty of the heaven (sky) I would not think that it was a mistake.

When I looked at the vastness and beauty of the earth I would not think that it was a mistake.

When I looked at the face of the waters I would not think that the face of the waters were a mistake.

    When ...

    The Songs of Zion

    Pastor Clarence William Page

Even the Babylonians knew that there was a distinct difference between the songs of Zion and the songs of Babylon. Listen to their own witness:

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
    2. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
    3. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of

Why I Do Not Engage in Sports or Pleasure on Sundays

    Pastor Clarence William Page

God gives me seven days every week. He normally lets me use them as I see fit. If He can give me seven days every week, seven free days (I do not pay Him for them), the very least I can do is dedicate one of those days exclusively to things that pertain to Him. In my view, to do otherwise would make me covetous beyond compare (not to mention ungrateful). How is it that He gives me so much (free, absolutely
