Encouragement For Families In Crisis
It is easy to give advice but (for me) it is more difficult to do nothing. Therefore, I do offer this ministerial advice:
1. Realize that you are not in this alone.
2. Believe that there are people that really care and really want to help.
3. Read the word of God (Holy Bible [Read the Psalms and then the New Testament book of Mark]).
4. Pray to God constantly.
5. Teach your children about God and His love.
6. Support each other (husband, don't fuss at your wife, be gentle with her; {wife, don't argue with your husband, be kind to him}).
7. Don't take your frustrations out on others.
8. Realize that this is just a phase in life, not all of life.
9. Visualize yourself overcoming this.
10. Think about how you can make a better future for yourself and your loved ones.
11. Realize that sometimes patience is required.
12. Realize that the helpers are human too.
13. Resolve that you will not do anything wrong.
14. Be a source of strength and encouragement for those around you.
15. Seek wisdom and exercise it.
16. Plan and act wisely.
17. Remember that God loves you (HE REALLY DOES).
I recommend that you be sure to read the following Psalms:
Psalm 23
Psalm 27
Psalm 40
Psalm 91
Psalm 121
Psalm 124
Psalm 150
Begin your New Testament reading at Mark Chapter 1.
May God bless you.
This is my ministry to you (my way of trying to help).
Trust God and take it one day at a time.
